Responsibilities for Information Security Engineer, MTS2

  • Responsible for the builds, configuration, and migration of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization of bare metal systems where applicable.
  • Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues
  • Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure
  • Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
  • Responsible for execution of migration strategies laid out by senior and management staff.

Qualifications for Information Security Engineer, MTS2

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required
  • 3-5 years of network administration, or system administration experience
  • 3-5 years’ experience with proxy administration / user troubleshooting
  • 2-3 years system administration with Microsoft or Linux servers
  • 1-2 years automation experience with PowerShell, Python, or other equivalent language
  • Experience with Anti-Virus or Data Loss Prevention tools a plus
  • Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, or equivalent, PCS and Nutanix is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols
  • A proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plans
  • Strong communication skills and proven ability to follow task and execution plans.
