The HR Systems (HRIS) Support Analyst is a critical role on the People Technology team providing systems support to the members of our People Team (HR) and global workforce through issue management for all People solutions, including Workday, Salesforce, Silkroad and the HR Portal (the HR section of the internal portal that serves PayPal employees globally).  This person will partner closely with other members of the People Technology team and our IT organization to ensure operational readiness and stability for all HR systems, whether newly implemented or already in production.  The Ht.R Systems Support Analyst partners closely with the People Shared Services organization (MyHR), People Centers of Expertise (COEs), and the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) to ensure the systems that support the People function are operating as expected and are ready to successfully support the People programs and business cycle processes, such as compensation planning, talent acquisition, talent management and other People initiatives.   The ideal candidate will challenge common assumptions, rethink existing configurations, and see every challenge as an opportunity for system and process improvements.  This position is for someone with a proactive, entrepreneurial spirit, who enjoys a dynamic, fast-paced and growing work environment, and enjoys working with people to provide world-class service and support.

Job Description

  • Serve as the subject matter expert on the Workday solution, perform administrative functions including security maintenance, business process administration, management of tenant master data, data loads, integrations and upgrades.
  • Research system issues, partner with OCIO and other required parties to obtain root cause analyses, implement appropriate solutions, and determine necessary actions and communication requirements.
  • Develop plans to mitigate and avoid future system issues.
  • Ensures that people systems meet business needs.
  • Identifies options for potential improvements and assesses them for both technical and business suitability.
  • Strives to automate processes to eliminate waste and drive efficiency in the organization, and leverage return on technological capabilities.
  • Provide pre and post-launch end-user support, change management, issue resolution, testing, training.
  • Participate in the regular review and prioritization of People systems optimization opportunities.
  • Actively participates in system related projects and initiatives, including UAT.
  • Assist in the review, testing and implementation of system upgrades and patches.
  • Assist in conduct system related training, including developing user procedures, guidelines and documentation.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2-4 years of hands-on Systems Analyst experience with HR software applications / HR Information systems
  • Workday experience required; Workday Advance Comp experience highly desired
  • Experience with Silkroad and Salesforce desired.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent experience, preferably in Management Information Systems or Computer Science
  • Strong analytic, problem solving, consultancy and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong working knowledge of MS-Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Project
  • Knowledge of HR functions and business processes (Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Benefits, Learning & Organizational Development, HR Service Center)
  • Critical thinker with exception ability to model business processes and identify and resolve gaps
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated history of significant customer deliverables, building rapport, and influencing decisions working in a consultative role with customers
