Head of Credit Risk for International Business Finance lending. Position will oversee PayPal’s expansion into multiple geographies with a combination of internally built and partner-based product solutions. Partner with the business unit and country leaders to launch business financing solutions in several new geographies. Help determine internal build vs. partner driven approach. Determine data sources for underwriting, set risk appetite, build scorecards and work with Global Data Sciences team to deploy best in class risk models.


Own overall risk underwriting and strategy to include:

  • Credit line assignment and pricing strategy to achieve RAM targets
  • Data sources and underwriting approach to new markets
  • Oversee adherence to risk appetite
  • deploy best in class machine learning risk models
  • manage a team of risk analysts


Knowledge of advance modeling techniques

Deep understanding of European regulatory environment

Partner with multiple areas of the organization to ensure success (strategy, marketing, finance, product, tech, compliance, etc.

Work effectively across multiple time zones and sets of stakeholders

Leverage PayPal data and resources to differentiate us from the competition in each market

Master’s degree or equivalent experience

10+ years credit risk experience (preferably for small and medium businesses)

International Lending experience across Europe

3-5+ years product launch experience
