We have an exciting opening for a high performing marketing leader to take our consumer credit business in the UK to the next stage of growth. Our Credit business includes a virtual credit card, merchant installments (e.g. eBay, Apple, Dyson), deferred payments (Pay After Delivery) and developing value propositions for future product launches. The role will work cross-functionally with the Global Credit team, UK/Global marketing teams, Consumer Segment team to define the marketing strategy, target audiences, develop the comms positioning, contact strategy and deploy multi-channel campaigns.

What does Success Look Like?  

  • Drive growth in the number of credit customers & credit funded transactions, whilst growing product NPS, credit and merchant penetration, and broader PayPal brand and commercial metrics.
  • Develop credit segmentation & targeting, manage the overall marketing contact strategy and deliver multi-channel marketing programs across owned, earned, shared & paid channels.
  • Define the marketing strategy to achieve acquisition account and transaction targets plus the existing customer re-use transaction targets, and execute against this with support from a Marketing Executive.
  • Understand and make recommendations on consumer experience and value proposition working closely with the UK Credit, Product and CS Teams and the broader UK Marketing Team.
  • Support the Credit business in driving new merchant integrations and optimising existing merchant presentment and marketing to maximise the installment channel
  • Deliver analysis on campaigns performance and ROI and use findings in the development of future activity.
  • Manage legal, accounting and financial compliance for all programs.
  • Play a broader role in the UK Marketing team, contributing to best practice and team development.
  • Incorporate mobile, social & PR into marketing plans where appropriate to amplify share of voice and marketing impact.
  • Lead the marketing workstream for strategic growth projects relating to new channel and product developments.
  • Manage a team or 1 to 2 marketing managers/execs
  • Support additional projects as required to drive growth from our merchant and consumer base.

About You:

  • 10+ years experience gained in a position such as Head of Marketing, Senior Marketing Manager, Agency Planner, Account Director, Marketing Planning, Senior Campaign Manager or similar.
  • Experience in marketing strategy, campaign management, agency management, budget / commercial management, presentation skills, team / stakeholder management.
  • Experience in B2C financial services e.g. retail finance, credit cards, payments, crowd or person to person lending/funding. (preferred)
  • Experience in managing partner marketing relationships and initiatives with major retailers and merchants, and working in a regulated credit environment. (preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification
