The Head of Content Community of Practice will be responsible for establishing, developing and ensuring the implementation of content standards for Product Content, and PayPal-wide

As Head of Content Community of Practice you’ll be a key driver of developing and implementing content standards and best practices across the Product Content and wider PayPal organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the definition, development and implementation of content standards for Product Content, and PayPal-wide
  • Ensure adoption of content standards
  • Develop mechanisms to measure the effectiveness and quality of product content
  • Report monthly on the effectiveness and quality of product content
  • Develop and deliver training programs and materials for Product Content
  • Develop and maintain the Product Content Strategy Toolkit
  • Working with the head of Global Source Content, contribute to the development of Product Content and PayPal-wide content strategy
  • Work with Brand, Marketing, and Business stakeholders to ensure full alignment and delivery of content for PayPal’s LE experiences.
  • Audit and evolve the methods, tools, and artifacts used to create, edit, publish, and measure product content.
  • Be an arbiter of best practices in grammar, messaging, terminology, writing, and style.
  • Reach across disciplines and departments to demonstrate how content can be used to create lasting and meaningful relationships with our customers. 


  • Experience writing for multiple channels and platforms, such as websites, apps, email, and social media for at least 6 years. You know how and when to use a particular medium.
  • At least 8 years of experience mentoring or managing writers or writing projects.
  • You see products and solutions as part of a customer’s larger journey and you seek to deeply understand that journey through research and data analysis. 
  • You understand brand and marketing methodologies, but your real expertise is using design thinking in service of creating great products.
  • You have a track record of positioning content as an engagement tool that transforms customer relationships. 
  • You have a history of knocking down organizational obstacles and building sustaining frameworks and partnerships. 
  • Experience in financial services, payments, B2B or B2C e-commerce is preferred.
