Reporting to the VP, Customer Experience and Technology (CE&T) Global Design, Delivery & Operations, the Head of Business Operations Management will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer as a member of his core staff and partner with a variety of stakeholders across the global leadership team. This executive will support the COO by executing on the PayPal mission and vision and its key organizational initiatives.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as a thought partner and trusted advisor to executive.
  • Partner turning business strategy into clear actionable and measurable plans.
  • Ability to optimize and focus Executive’s time through prioritization of shifting and growing needs of the Executive and his team.
  • Synthesize and prepare data, analysis and insightful information to prep the Executive for upcoming events and/or meetings.
  • Serve as an ambassador, ensuring the Executive is informed of upcoming events, commitments and responsibilities with appropriate and timely follow up.
  • Amplify Executive’s communication by driving key messages in meetings and/or through email communications to the extended team and collaborators across the company.
  • Deliver on the Executive’s key agenda and projects by managing the coordination of activities across the organization. 
  • Manage effective team meetings on executive’s behalf including: defining agenda, facilitating meetings as needed, capture minutes and action items, and follow-ups as needed. 
  • Manage special projects across departments including new frameworks or business models.
  • Partner closely with other functions including Communications, Marketing, Finance, Legal, Commercial and Operations.
  • Use cross-functional knowledge to seek to understand issues, trends and perspectives that may influence the business.
  • Manages the Executive’s organization’s daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual meetings, operating routines, communications, and offsites.
  • Pull diverse set of teams together to drive consensus on key matters important to the Executive and his leadership team.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • 10+ years of experience leading strategic projects and working cross-functionally in a complex and hypergrowth environment.
  • A strong operational mind combined with flexibility to adapt to ever-changing circumstances, demands and priorities.
  • Foundational experience in management consulting preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationships. 
  • Strong influencing and analytical skills; comfortable negotiating and driving effective timely decisions.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to communicate key messages succinctly.
  • Effective program management skills, with demonstrated ability to lead complex strategic and operational initiatives.
  • Experience driving organizational transformation from silos to one cohesive team.
  • Ability to quickly gauge the importance of different concerns and route traffic accordingly.
  • Proven track-record at winning the trust and confidence of colleagues, executives, and team, and delivering direct and honest feedback.

Education

  • Bachelors’ degree, MBA/Masters’ degree preferred
