PayPal Singapore is the Regional Headquarters for PayPal Asia Pacific - where we have customers and local teams servicing our customers in China, India, South East Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and Korea. Across the region there are 50 people in the Marketing team of which approximately 20 are located in the Singapore office.

This position is responsible for planning and execution of a pipeline of regional and country marketing campaigns along with a dedicated team of marketing ops specialists and a variety of multi-disciplinary teams to deliver best-in-class Marketing Ops service and Vendor Management. The incumbent will create project plans, and facilitate cross-functional efforts to help PayPal marketers design and launch end-to-end digital marketing campaigns through email, website and other channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Effective Vendor management of relation with contracted partners in ensuring delivery SLA timelines & quality are met. Key escalation point of contact to resolve partners challenges without compromising the relationship with the partner and internal stakeholders
  • Responsible for managing a highly efficient marketing operations team that is responsible for the execution of APAC marketing campaigns on owned  channels across 14 markets
  • Drive operational excellence through constant review and improvement of our processes and platforms
  • Partner with marketing teams in the definition and documentation of campaign requirements within internal marketing resource management tools/systems
  • Support and consult local marketing teams on the technical requirements to design, deploy and automate strategic marketing initiatives (e.g. segmentation) that require close support from Marketing Operations
  • Analyze current processes and talent to identify opportunities to achieve operational excellence across the end to end campaign execution and optimization processes
  • Establishes and lead compliance function for APAC Marketing as a whole, strengthening our internal business control environment and responding to regulators & auditors as needed
  •  Oversight of marketing planning and manages the marketing operations budget, forecasting and third party contracted partners in coordination with regional stakeholders
  • Accountable to ensure partners cost & budgets forecasted are met, with a constant review that partners pricing remains competitive and financially viable

Key Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of Marketing experience, of which at least 4 years in campaign operations across cross-functional teams for multi-channel digital marketing campaigns
  • Multi-cultural perspective, strong interpersonal skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Track record of excellent Vendor Management
  • Strong problem solving, organization and attention to details. Strong analytical skills and care about quality of work
  • Excellent process flow management capabilities
  • Previous experiences with database marketing, direct marketing or CRM is a plus. Exposure to Salesforce, Eloqua and Unica products is a plus
  • Fluent spoken and written abilities in English; Chinese skills are a plus
  • Business / Commerce/Marketing Degree Qualified (preferred but not mandatory)
  • Outstanding planning and organizing skills
  • Proactivity  - able to think ahead and anticipate what might happen. Ability to work under pressure
  • Outstanding verbal and written communicator
  • Team player – high energy and passionate about impacting team dynamics
