PayPal is looking for a team player to join our growing Cybersecurity Operations team. This exceptional leader, will be responsible for hiring, training, and overseeing our global team of technical testers on penetration testing performing various types of assessments, including internet, intranet, wireless, web application, and cloud in addition to source code reviews and threat analysis.   • Oversee PayPal’s First line of Defense penetration testing team
  • Provide technical leadership and mentor team members on attack & penetration leading practices
  • Support scoping and prioritizing of penetration testing work, leveraging internal and external resources
  • Partner with PayPal’s Security Operations teams to design and execute red team exercises to simulate real attackers on our infrastructure
  • Oversee the development of comprehensive reports, while conveying technical security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders  


  • 10+ years of experience in various cybersecurity domains, including attack & penetration, red teaming, threat intelligence, security monitoring, and vulnerability management.
  • Extensive experience leading a technical team, conducing remote and on-site penetration testing work within defined scope
  • Deep understanding of attack surfaces, including hands-on experience with various Cybersecurity technologies, offensive tools, latest exploits, and cybersecurity standards (MITRE ATT&CK framework)
  • Mastery of Unix/Linux/Mac/Windows operating systems, including bash and Powershell
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking skills
  • Prior experience developing an internal attack & penetration program – Preferred
  • Prior financial services experience / consulting background – Preferred
