The Payroll team is looking for a reporting and business analyst to be a key technical partner in supporting Payroll reporting requirements, requirements gathering and testing to drive platform strategy and analytics. The position requires a combination of technical, business and communication skills, with primary focus on reporting strategy, report development and ongoing support, management of operational metrics, coordination with company IT department teams and testing.

This position will be responsible for:

  • Partnering with the Payroll Operations and Information Technology teams, as well as various business partners throughout the company to gather requirements and develop reports/dashboards specific to Payroll
  • Providing day-to-day reporting support for third-party vendors, regulatory and governmental agencies globally and the local payroll teams and Finance organization.
  • Participating in the design and enhancement of the global Payroll reporting strategy to fully utilize system capabilities.  You will do this by understanding business requirements, constructing dataflow diagrams, studying system capabilities and writing specifications
  • Maintaining system integrity and protocols by writing and updating procedural and/or configuration manuals/documentation as required
  • Recommending needed controls by identifying potential risks and providing solutions
  • Developing and implementing policies surrounding secure data storage and transmission, including disaster relief plans
  • Providing references for users by writing, maintaining and cataloguing user documentation and manuals 
  • Creating reports as needed, as well as maintaining and updating business logic within reports as required
  • Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices
  • Ad hoc analysis to support senior management
  • Support testing of enhancements by documenting requirements, writing test scripts, entering data and validating the data.

  • Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in CS, MIS, Business or related area of study
  • 3-5 years of experience within HRIS/Payroll Information Systems and reporting (building and maintaining reports as a primary focus.  Experience should include Workday and ADP products including GlobalView and Insights Dashboard or other HR/Payroll applications.
  • 3-5 years of experience with gathering and documenting business requirements, writing specification documents, executing testing and working with global teams in implementing those requirements
  • Good written, verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and excellent problem solving skills is a must
  • Experience with MS Office, especially Excel (including macros, Pivot Tables) and experience with SharePoint
  • Should be genuinely excited about technology, have a strong interest in learning about and using the latest technologies 
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of ERP Applications (Workday, SAP, etc.) functional modules, integration points and technologies
  • Experience with Labor Management and/or Time & Attendance systems
  • Knowledge of human resource technologies and business processes
  • Ability to successfully manage conflict with positive results
  • Strong bias for action. Must be a self-starter and highly motivated
  • Ability to comfortably work in a fast paced, often ambiguous and event driven environment
  • Business aptitude is preferred since this job will have moderate interaction with HR, Accounting and Operations
