Its ambition is to create and embed a bold new operating model that will position PayPal to compete and win in the market. It will empower marketers on the frontline and our Marketing function more broadly with the knowledge, skills, platforms and capabilities to do exceptional work. 

The Team – Global Marketing Operations Transformation & Enablement:

Historically, all Regions (NA, EMEA, APAC) have run separate Marketing functions and have had different operational set ups. As part of the Global Marketing transformation program, all regional teams have been consolidated in to one and the new Global Marketing Operations Transformation & Enablement team has been established. The Global Marketing Ops Transformation & Enablement team are tasked with designing and driving this bold new operating model, establishing a blueprint for the future where people, process and technology come together as one. Creating new ways of working that elevate our ability to deliver our marketing plans and innovate continuously. The team are very well regarded, highly skilled and innovative with over 220 full time and agency support staff building our organization structure, process and technology for change. For you to succeed on this team it is important for you to be comfortable working with a high degree of autonomy, to continuously learn and have a curious mindset, to understand and help drive a DevOps Culture, to be proactive, collaborative and to have a sense of humour. 

Location: New York, San Jose, London

Travel: Main destinations will include San Jose (Global HQ) & Global Hubs: New York, London, Singapore.

What will your week look like?

You are building awareness and driving change adoption and change advocacy across stakeholder groups and within our team in engaging ways. Through stakeholder mapping, communication, training and support models you are working with the team to resolve Awareness & Adoption issues. You are conducting impact assessments and change readiness exercises. You are integrating with Agile project management to keep projects moving forward. You are keeping change measurement activities up to date but also understanding the unmeasurable impact change is having on the team and wider organisation. You are creating, implementing and iterating change management plans. 

Skills to be used: Change management process and artifacts. Stakeholder management, Influencing skills, Communication, Training.

What will your quarter look like?

You are effectively executing change management and applying appropriate Organizational and Individual change models. You are coaching stakeholders and teams to upskills and increase change management capabilities against the change management backlog. Quarter after quarter the cost of change is going down and change fatigue is converting into change energy. You are keeping in sync with Agile Project management across the organization to ensure Change management is decoupled and evolving as a capability but cohesive with Agile Project management for delivery. 

Skills to be used: Change management models – Organizational (e.g. Kotter, Deming, etc) and Individual (PROSCI, Nudge etc) 

What will your year look like?

You are looking back and identifying which techniques we need to become better at. Your hard work in change measurement is now giving empirical evidence to help plan for the future and make big step changes in change capabilities. You are running simulations and considering if adopted models need to be replaced or complemented with other change management models. 

Skills to be used: Team Management, Feedback loops & stakeholder engagement.

Education & Experience required:

  • Degree in degrees related to Change management, Behavioral Sciences, Communications, Coaching with certifications in Change management and/or Coaching.
  • Multiple year Change management experience across Organizational change, experience of influencing behavior / culture change, coaching and working with high performing teams.
  • Experience working in agile team environments.
