Reporting to the VP, Talent Acquisition, Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging, and Talent Development, the Sr. Director, Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging will work closely with Business Leaders to drive business outcomes through the development of and execution against appropriate HR priorities. He/she will implement diversity strategies and programs. The role is accountable for leading programs at scale, from need identification to implementation, considering the unique needs of our internal customers and in close partnership with the HR Leadership Team. The role is based in San Jose, CA and partners closely with the Global Talent Acquisition team.

The ideal candidate for this position will have prior training and/or related human resource experience, particularly in supporting diversity and inclusion programs and initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of project management and ability to drive programs that support the organization's workforce diversity, inclusiveness, and retention opportunities. The candidate should possess strong analytical skills and ability to translate metrics, research, and trends into strategy. In addition to an ability to build and maintain positive relationships internally and externally, he/she must be a team player with excellent written and verbal communications skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Development and implementation of corporate diversity and inclusion strategies, including recruitment, leadership development, performance management, employee engagement and retention.
  • Drive diversity programs in partnership with the DI&B team and various stakeholders across HR.
  • Develop metrics for measuring the effectiveness of corporate diversity initiatives.  Benchmark and research analysis, including monitoring and reporting on diversity and inclusion topics.
  • Serve as subject matter expert and liaison to HRBP’s and the business to develop strategic action to attract/develop/retain diverse talent by analyzing and presenting talent demographics, monitoring data trends and developing diversity initiatives.
  • Identify, build, and sustain community partnerships to support corporate diversity and inclusion projects/plans/initiatives and business strategies.
  • Partner with communications to regularly communicate internal and external diversity and inclusion initiatives, events and progress. 

Required skills:

  • 10+ years of HR Generalist or Diversity & Inclusion experience in roles of progressively increasing scope and in matrixed, high-growth, organizations.
  • Experience in a high profile, strategic HR role with heavy executive-level interface and a high degree of executive influence.
  • Proven, progressive experience and demonstrated effectiveness leading global diversity and inclusion related initiatives and programs.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with experience in facilitation/presentation.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or equivalent experience is required with a preference for an advanced degree in Human Resources or Business Administration
  • Analytical and critical thinking with a metrics-driven approach to solutions and the ability to leverage analytics and insights to create compelling narratives for change to gain sponsorship.  
  • The ability to root-cause issues, match people strategies to business strategies, and deliver global programs that drive results.
  • A deep business acumen and the executional know how of building and growing businesses globally through the ongoing development and supports of its people.
  • The ability to synthesize complex situations into a digestible format for the business leaders and their teams.
  • Team oriented consensus builder who understands how to achieve buy-in from diverse constituencies, building bridges and designing “win-win” solutions across a matrix management organization.
  • The ability to flourish in a rapidly changing organization and operate comfortably with ambiguity and complexity.
