PayPal’s Global Collections First Line of Defense team is seeking a Global Collections Governance Manager to manage Global Collections Governance process as well as the Global Collections inventory of Collection policies and procedures. This position will work closely with the Global Collections internal stakeholders as well as the Collections Operational Excellence (OE) teams to ensure Policy & Strategy Governance takes place appropriately and in a connected manner. The Manager will be responsible for the inventory of product specific collection policies and procedures ensuring all documents are maintained in accordance with the PP Policy Governance Policy. The manager will also be responsible for the socialization of new policies and changes to existing policies with key internal and external stakeholders for approval. Lastly, the Manager will coordinate with Collections OE team to ensure continuity between policy, procedure, and work instructions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with the Global Collections teams to understand and document global and/or product-specific collections policies completely and accurately.
  • Collaborate with internal Collections Strategy team on new initiatives to understand their impact on Policies and Procedures. Ensure necessary changes are complete and approved within expected implementation timelines.
  • Support new product development and global expansion projects through the development of Collection policy documentation.
  • Maintain full Collection policy inventory, ensuring polices are refreshed and approved by appropriate risk committees annually. This includes the development of the annual refresh calendar.
  • Engage with bank partners and appropriate internal stakeholders  to ensure practices adopted by the Bank are documented appropriately, where applicable.
  • Partner with the Collections Testing and Issues Management Teams to support execution of testing program and ensure remediation plans impacting policy documentation are managed efficiently and timely.

Job requirements

  • Consumer Credit & Collections Management Experience
  • Relationship Management experience within a compliance and/or consumer banking environment
  • High energy, strong work ethic, action oriented and results driven.
  • Demonstrates the value of being a team player working across cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent written, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Solid analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong project management skills; prioritization, decisioning and task management skills with attention to detail and a strong focus on deliverables with time limitations.
  • Must have the ability to troubleshoot complex issues, to provide potential solutions, to track issue status, and to report findings to external partners, peers, management, and cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to interact with technical project leads, developers, quality assurance, and business team members.
  • Proficient in MS OFFICE.
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
