The Global Accounting Manager would be responsible for leading a Global Intercompany team and support critical objectives including the following - • Building global intercompany processes that can scale with the business; identify automation opportunities, simplify our processes by enforcing / influencing standard procedures across the globe and challenging exceptions. • Improving accuracy and applying a risk-based approach to identify areas for focus; leveraging more tools/technology to efficiently analyze and validate large volumes of data to drive results. • Business Partnering so that we can keep up to speed with changes in the business and quickly adapt/re-design processes as needed; requires strong communication (written/verbal) with the ability to distill and communicate complex/operational intercompany accounting concepts to non-accounting business partners. Ability to influence where you do not have direct authority.

Key Responsibilities Include -  

  • Provide hands-on leadership within the Global Intercompany team including management of our business process outsourced team (IBM).
  • Find opportunities within the Global Intercompany function to streamline tasks to improve accuracy, decrease process complexity, identify process gaps and build bandwidth for additional in-take.
  • Month End Close - Perform monthly close management and review of Global Intercompany Processes
  • Support timely resolution of escalated intercompany issues with key business partners (i.e., International Controllers, Tax, Treasury, etc.)
  • New Product / Geo Expansion - Design scalable end-to-end intercompany processes for accounting, settlement and reconciliation for ‘go to market’ and integration of new products. Investigate, understand and challenge various local or specific product customizations at design phase which are exceptions to our global model
  • Support and maintain SAP Transfer Pricing Automation and VAT Automation programs. Apply critical thinking to be able to identify and troubleshoot system issues and solutioning with the SAP Demand team to drive timely resolution of these issues.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP ERP systems (SAP BW and SAP ECC)
  • Experience in a multinational/multi-entity environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in accounting
  • CPA or Chartered Accountant qualification, a plus
  • Big 4 experience, a plus.
