Senior accountant will be supporting the Accounting and GL function for PayPal China entities.


  • Execute Best of Class process and procedure.
  • Execute on efficient, control robust procedure for core accounting functions including but not limited to General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Accounts Payable, IC and Consolidation etc.
  • Complete statutory, regulatory and other government and compliance agency reporting requirements including local, applicable laws and reporting standards on timely basis.
  • Drive account reconciliations rigor including follow up and closure of open items 
  • Ability to work closely with external parties including outsourcing service provider, auditors, tax consultant and other service provider
  • Oversight and support China indirect tax filing work
  • Operating successfully in a high growth, dynamic environment with multiple demands       

    Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited university
  • Good working knowledge of SAP
  • Familiar with China General Accounting experience and China tax rules with CICPA is preferred
  • Familiar with local statutory audit, tax returns and filing process in China
  • 6-8 years of relevant experience in accounting with prior experience in international or US-based company preferred.
  • Ability to work with people outside the country.
  • Good level of spoken and written English
  • Ability to document work processes, procedures and policies
