The Foreign Exchange Analyst role is responsible for providing support to treasury, finance and global business units for all of PayPal’s daily FX pricing and trading strategies. This role provides the serves the primary capacity of daily FX pricing and trading to support PayPal cross border transactions, cash flow hedging, balance sheet hedging, and liquidity management.

The position will require detailed analysis of trade execution and financial performance for all FX activities. The role will also support a risk management and compliance function. This position is located in Singapore.

This role will also:

  • Support all aspects of day-to-day FX activities from analysis to execution with a focus on APAC currencies
  • Assist FX team in design and implementation of new foreign exchange pricing and trading systems including reporting and analytical framework to support FX operations
  • Support FX activities related to restricted / on-shore Asian currencies – India, China, Malaysia, Indonesia,  Philippines and Vietnam
  • Provide support on FX related projects and program changes
  • Coordinate with planning function on actual and forecasted FX flows
  • Provide foreign exchange expertise to internal, cross functional teams who consume FX rates for various applications
  • Provide foreign exchange expertise and intelligence to evaluate and implement best pricing and execution strategies
  • Collaborate with FX team to analyze FX counterparty performance
  • Partner with treasury team on all operational aspects of FX to support corporate and customer needs
  • Analyze cross border flows from other PayPal businesses as they expand globally – Xoom, Braintree, Paydiant
  • Assist in expanding currencies supported by PayPal for all its business needs
  • Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis on various FX related inquiries
  • Partner with product and pricing teams on cross border analyses
  • Support all global legal and regulatory requirements
  • Provide strategic support for business units where possible by leveraging FX and treasury experience

Position Requirements:

  • 7+ years Finance/Treasury experience , MBA/CFA preferred
  • Degree in Accounting or Finance, MBA Preferred
  • Exceptional experience in FX operations at a global financial institution
  • Broad Treasury background preferred
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and project management skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment
