Full Stack Apps Developer

The Day To Day:

  • Write application code following best practices of scalability, accessibility, internationalization and instrumentation.
  • Partner closely with design & product to craft great product experiences.
  • Be a crafts(wo)man and encourage code craftsmanship across team.
  • Deliver code in an agile team environment.
  • Responsible for application deployments in our Cloud environment.
  • Drive innovation through rapid prototyping and iterative development.

Qualifications:

  • Passionate about customer focus, with the understanding of business impact to drive the system improvements
  • At least 3 years experience building web services in a highly trafficked (>100 requests per second) external customer facing product (as opposed to internal consumption)
  • Proficient in Java/Spring and JavaScript/Node as evidenced through a HackerRank challenge or equivalent
  • 2 year’s experience building applications on top of RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with web front end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, Webpack, LESS, Bootstrap, and jQuery/Dojo/YUI.
  • Solid knowledge of algorithms and design patterns.
  • Experience with cross-browser, cross-platform, and design constraints on the web.
  • At least 2 years experience in a test-driven development culture where candidate owns their own user tests and integration tests
  • Experience with Build and Integration frameworks like Maven,
  • Strong desire to learn, push the envelope, and share knowledge with others.
  • Public GitHub presence is a plus, experience in payments a strong plus
  • B.S. or equivalent degree in Computer Science is desired
