PayPal, Engineering Environments business unit is looking for a Technical Lead , with strong background in build and deployment infrastructure and able to lead a team with effective co-ordination round the clock.

  • Candidate is responsible for handling the day to day problems raised by developers in the engineering eco-system and as well being able to drive the team of AWFs.
  • Should be an interface between team and management.
  • Promptly escalate issues to the reporting manager, track and resolve issues.
  • He/She should have working experience on Linux platform and some of the build/configuration management tools like Jenkins/Puppet/Ansible etc.
  • Candidate should be able to take up weekend on call and should be able to come in shifts as and when it is required.
  • Should be able to identify top problems, come up with automation, drive documentation as appropriate.
  • Should work with the developers and the team closely in understanding the problems and reach out to the right product teams for closure.
  • Summarize and send reports on a weekly/bi-weekly basis and let the team aware of any major P0/P1s.
  • Mentor people; Raise the education level of your team, build and maintain high team morale.
  • A strong communication, people & technical management are a must have.
