Risk Ops Analysts are highly motivated team players who specialize in analyzing fraud patterns and creating and adapting advanced proprietary fraud prevention mechanisms. The analysts overcome challenges presented by evolving fraud techniques and new payment technologies by leveraging area expertise, and story-based analytics. They follow those mechanisms’ development process from start to finish, and work closely with technologists, other analysts and developers to bring their analytical insights to life.

1. Pro-actively identify system vulnerabilities and active fraud MOs.
2. Respond to risk mitigation needs of high value customers and strategic business partners. 
3. Establish proactive monitoring and timely mitigation of potential fraud attacks.
4. Ensure accurate implementation of risk decision solutions while supporting their deployment and maintenance.
5. Collaborate with key stakeholders such as account management and risk consulting. Establish proper escalation processes and communication channels.
6. Apply both data driven learnings and business expertise to policy enhancements and solution accuracy improvements to help maintain a balanced focus of loss reduction, profitability, and customer experience. 
7. Create, or enhance existing, analytical toolset to help gain efficiencies in various work processes. 


Qualifications

  • Quick-thinker, fast learner, wide general knowledge, problem solver, Team worker, responsible, delivery-oriented
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Technical orientation
  • Experience with programming/scripting language / SQL
  • 3+ years of experience in PayPal or similar Risk/Consumer-behavior companies.

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
