The position reports to the Head of Consumer Credit France, based in Paris, France. This role will be accountable for supporting the expansion of consumer credit products in France but also, exploring & researching consumer credit opportunities in Southern Europe. This role will lead a cross-functional team and partners with colleagues from numerous domains—including Marketing, Product, Finance, Credit Risk, PMO, Legal, Sales, Operations, Compliance & Analytics—to bring solutions to our Consumers that help them maintain control over their finances and choose when and how they want to pay. This role includes P&L and scorecard responsibility for those geographies.

The role is responsible for five key deliverables:

  • Stand up and scale consumer credit in France to exceed financial targets and deliver a strategic roadmap for the products
  • Manage the P&L and deliver scorecard for Financial, Customer and Employee metrics
  • Drive Halo and relevant value of PayPal Credit at a market level, including collaborating with local management teams to ensure PayPal credit enables the growth of the Consumer and Merchant portfolios
  • Meet Regulatory & Compliance Obligations at market and regional levels

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Consumer Credit products within EMEA preferable, and/or e-commerce experience 
  • MBA degree a plus
  • Fluent in French and English. Spanish or Italian a plus
  • Ability to work across timezones and travel periodically (primarily Europe & US)
  • Ability to lead the expansion of credit solutions, routinely deliver commercial results and lead a cross-functional team in a highly matrixed environment with stakeholders in France, US and beyond
  • Knowledge of and passion for innovation in the affordability space, including merchant/consumer adoption of credit products
  • Experience with and familiarity with a range of business disciplines including organizational design, product marketing, product development and management, financial planning & analysis, credit risk, and operations
  • Experience navigating a highly-matrixed, cross-functional, international professional environment
  • Be action-oriented with a consistent and robust track record of professional accomplishments
  • Talent to leverage relationship skills and build a culture for a high-performing, engaged team
  • Collaborative, commercial attitude to drive integration with core BU and crystallize halo benefits for broader PayPal franchise
  • Strong voice to advocate for EMEA region within fast-growing global business and to communicate and influence at senior levels
  • Strategic thinker to drive aggressive growth plans for Deferred Payments, including acquisition, partnership, eligibility expansion, product development and other growth opportunities
  • Handle ambiguity and uncertainty by creating structure and prioritizing effectively
  • Possess excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
