The FP&A Manager will lead the planning and forecasting processes for PayPal’s Core Markets (North America, UK, Germany and Australia) and perform financial consolidation for the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). This position will involve working with the Core Markets’ management team and wider FP&A team to produce weekly, monthly and quarterly reports, reviewing monthly forecasts, quarterly targets and annual budgets for the Core Markets’ regions. It will also require collaboration with different stakeholders to gather inputs, summarize insights and produce executive level presentations. Key focus will be to drive optimal decision making through financial modelling and quantitative analysis. A succesfull candidate will be highly analytical and capable of interpreting trends. You should have excellent business and communication skills to be able to present and work with the wider FP&A team and business owners. The candidate will provide planning support while aiming at doing so in a scalable and efficient way. The candidate will report into the Core FP&A Senior Manager and will be part of the FP&A team based in Luxembourg

Core responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with Senior Management to develop a deep understanding of PayPal’s business across different PayPal’ regions & segments, managing monthly forecast processes, strategic planning process and drafting CEO & CFO Board presentations.
  • Provide detailed strategic insight into the dynamics of the differing parts of the Core Markets’ business and deep dives to understand specific revenue driver trends.
  • Drive optimal decision making through insightful models and analytical tools & use of extensive financial and quantitative analysis, modelling, including revenue variance analyses.
  • Work with Core Market’s Senior Management and different FP&A team members to produce weekly, monthly and quarterly reports, produce analytical dashboards, review monthly forecasts, quarterly targets and annual budgets for the region.
  • Drive Core FP&A analytics tools and process strategies, partnering with global FP&A and technology teams.
  • Participate in specific ad-hoc projects and analyses by partnering with Regional FP&A team members and Senior Management.

Education required:

Masters Degree or equivalent. MBA preferred.

Experience required:

  • Experience gained as a Senior Financial Analyst, Finance Manager, Senior FP&A Analyst, Senior FP&A Manager, ideally in a fast growing, medium/large company environment within the eCommerce or financial services sectors.
  • Demonstrated experience in driving forecast and budget processes in highly matrixed environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in building and challenging financial models.
  • Experience guiding decisions through a highly matrix environment.

  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills: able to work across organization & geographies and influence peers and more senior colleagues.
  • Strong communication skills and experience distilling and presenting complex financial analyses into action-oriented recommendations.

  • Ability to thrive in a cross-functional / multicultural environment while juggling multiple responsibilities.
  • Ability to effectively manage projects/ results oriented.

Knowledge required:

  • Strong Excel and Power Point skills. Experience with database products (i.e. Essbase, SQL).
  • Fluent in English. Any other language of the region is more than welcome.
