We are looking for a highly motivated Financial Analyst to join the Global Consumer Product Finance team. In this position you will work directly with the product leaders of PayPal to build and manage product forecasts, conduct analysis on drivers of product performance and construct financial scenarios for strategic growth initiatives. An ideal candidate will demonstrate advanced financial modeling skills, offer a strategic perspective and strong business acumen.

  • Provide financial planning and analysis, including budgeting and forecasting for the product P&L to support successful business decision making
  • Collaborate with product leaders to build business cases on major new ventures, partnerships, and/or product growth drivers and validate their impact on the P&L
  • Define, track and analyze critical business / financial metrics for products and experiences across PayPal’s consumer portfolio
  • Partner with Finance and Product Analytics teams to size P&L impact of product changes and/or enhancements 
  • Manage headcount and operating expenses including budgeting, forecasting and reporting 

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of related experience in finance, consulting or related areas
  • Bachelor’s degree from top-tier institution preferred
  • Experience in high growth / payment industry preferred
  • Strength in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and SQL are required 
  • Experience in SAP and/or equivalent financial sytems preferred

Additional requirements:

  • Ability to synthesize complex ideas and communicate them in a straightforward manner is critical (both verbally and via e-mail / Powerpoint)
  • Highly accountable, with ability to independently lead and coordinate complex projects across multiple subject and functional areas
  • Experience building and maintaining complex financial models, developing and using financial modeling tools & financial statement construction
  • Must be proactive, resourceful, and demonstrate intellectual curiosity to anticipate business needs
  • Exhibit the highest standards of integrity and bring a positive attitude every day.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
