The PayPal Finance Organization is looking for a collaborative and execution-focused analyst. This individual will support the Operations manager in a range of multi-disciplinary operating rhythms. The Finance Operations Analyst will be a key part of the finance team supporting the marketing and brand teams in the Chief Commercial Officer organization. Operating rhythms include development of major change initiatives and monitoring progress against them and ongoing business reporting processes. The role requires a high degree of relationship management with the business as well as across PayPal. We are looking for someone with high energy and a passion for getting things done and who is able to develop and build relationships across the organization.

  • Maintain a spreadsheet tracking system for spend, forecasting, and contract status. 
  • Partner with legal, procurement, privacy, and sourcing teams to ensure contracts are submitted, and processed in adherence to Corporate Policy in a timely manner
  • Submit and execute POs, ensuring that appropriate cost centers, product, and GL codes are used
  • Educate vendors on the invoicing process and partner with Accounts Payable to resolve vendor invoicing issues
  • Populate and update the expense management tool to ensure accurate expense tracking, accrual reporting, and forecasting.
  • Onboard new vendors and manage the approval process through the creation of the Vendor’s ID
  • Support improvements to processes and systems to streamline efficiency.

Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Strong Excel skills (including pivot tables) are a big plus
  • Strong quantitative skills
  • Accounting background preferred but not required
  • Effective time-management and prioritization skills to manage workload
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, ability to build relationships, interfacing at all levels
  • Thrives in an environment of continuous change and complexity
  • Results oriented, team player, friendly, energetic personality, works well under pressure
  • Must be eager to learn, contribute and share knowledge – internally and externally
  • Previous work experience of 2-3 years required
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Math, Finance, Accounting, etc.) preferred but not a must
