You will be part of the Global Finance & Analytics organization, supporting PayPal’s Finance Org. Finance org includes different functions like Tax, Treasury, Audit, IR, CAO, FP&A and Real Estate & Facilities. This role provides great opportunity to interact with executives across different function and learn from them. The ability to work collaboratively with different finance leads and subject matter experts is essential.

The FP&A manager within this team is responsible for driving and managing all Opex related activities, including

  • Monthly forecasts and annual budgeting of Opex & Headcount. Support the development of budgets, and monthly forecasts with data driven insights
  • Variance analysis to identify risks and opportunities. Identify key business levers, establish cause & effect, perform analyses and communicate key findings to various stakeholders to facilitate decision-making
  • Month end close activities like estimating and booking accruals
  • Capex in Production analysis to push capex items to production
  • Create monthly review presentations for different leaders and present it on a monthly basis
  • Support real estate and facilities team with analysis on long term strategy of leasing and geolocation
  • Create automated dashboards that can be easily shared with different stakeholders

An ideal candidate for this role would possess the following skills/experience:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and an executive presence
  • Proficiency with US GAAP accounting application
  • PMO/Organization skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
  • Mindset to proactively engage and evaluate (and drive resolution of) potential conflicts between various Finance and non-Finance functions
  • Experience in operational finance/accounting roles and ability to distill accounting concepts to others within the organization
  • Analytical mindset that focuses on risk evaluation and mitigation
  • Ability to lead and drive execution of plans and to influence where you do not have direct authority through strong interpersonal skills
  • Comfort with navigating complex decision points in order to ensure stakeholder buy-in
  • Comfort with problem solving and creative solutioning
  • 8+ years of accounting/finance experience
  • BA required
  • Comfortable working with diverse teams in multiple locations.
