As a member of PayPal’s Product, Sales and Marketing Finance team based in San Jose, this position will play a key role in providing financial leadership and counsel to senior leaders of the Global Marketing Team including VP’s and other senior leaders. This role will work closely with the Marketing leadership team to develop a full understanding of the organizations’ strategic priorities and partner with them to execute and improve financial planning, budgeting and reporting. The ideal candidate should have experience in Marketing finance and a proven track record of delivering excellent finance support and strong business partnership. We are looking for a finance superstar that works autonomously but in collaboration with teammates and business partners.

  • Develop an understanding of the teams’ strategic priorities, resource and headcount needs; partner with business and finance to execute and improve financial planning and budgeting
  • Lead end to end month-end close, forecasting, reporting and annual budget planning for OPEX, Cost of Sales and headcount
  • Gain deep understanding of Marketing taxonomy
  • Monitor expense and headcount plan vs actual, and provide analysis/recommendation for business partners
  • Spear head monthly and quarterly operational reviews and business deep dives
  • Partner with Business leaders to deliver monthly forecasting processes and provide analytical fire power to long-term planning process
  • Provide assessment of risks and opportunities to business leaders to drive sound financial decisions and positive impact to the business
  • Support and streamline the financial process of partner integration costs and coordinate with the other finance teams and Sales Operation on process optimization
  • Partner with the Marketing Analytics team on Marketing mix and recommendation for Investments. Provide transparency on investment allocation and as well as ROI
  • Maintain and optimize existing OPEX processes to improve efficiency
  • Ensure strict adherence to corporate policies and GAAP regulations
  • Ad-hoc analysis & projects as needed to support business needs and decision making
  • Financial Modeling and Planning, including trend and variance analysis

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related
  • 8+ years of professional experience in a high growth technology company, fin tech preferred
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced dynamic environment and manage multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to craft influential presentation and summarize findings and recommendations
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and maneuvering through organizational hierarchies
  • Strong candidates will have MS Excel & Powerpoint expertise and working experience with SAP/Oracle systems
