Working as part of the Finance team, the Finance and Regulatory Manager will be fully responsible for the validation and submission of all regulatory reports together with monitoring and forecasting of regulatory metrics.

Core responsibilities:

  • Oversee the submission of accurate and timely reporting submissions to the regional regulators (CSSF, BCL, FCA);
  • Monitor, forecast and communicate relevant regulatory metrics to stakeholders;
  • Oversee the Luxembourg Treasury function, escalate all non-compliance with Bank management;
  • Act as direct point of contact for regulatory reporting in EMEA with the regulators;
  • Monitor the development of regulations relevant to EMEA. Ensure advance awareness and preparatory tasks are undertaken early to Governance & Change Management team;
  • Liaise with key stakeholders including Data Technology, Controlling and Treasury teams and gain an understanding of balances to obtain accurate and timely data to complete reporting, monitoring and forecasting;
  • Design, plan and implement new products assessments and integration;
  • Provide quality assurance over data inputs and resulting outputs;
  • Perform review and approval for all reporting prior to release to external regulators;
  • Continuously assess processes efficiencies, controls and capacity constraints, through interaction with key stakeholders with a particular focus on automations;
  • Draft detailed risk based procedures and checklists focusing heavily on internal controls throughout;
  • Prepare and present periodic updates for executive management;
  • Challenge, resolve, and communicate any issues to internal stakeholders;
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors ensuring all requests and any issues are addressed timely and accurately;
  • Assisting the Exams Management team in any reporting related queries received.

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant, preferably with a Big 4 background and ~6+ years’ professional experience in in e-commerce/payments/financial services industries;
  • MA (or equivalent) preferred;
  • Analytical and problem solving experience with a strong focus on quality assurance of output;
  • Understanding of regulations affecting the Banking and Payments industries across EMEA;
  • Familiarity with local and international accounting standards;
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with fluency in English mandatory;
  • Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and deliver in a fast paced and dynamic environment with a high degree of personal accountability, integrity and trust;
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within cross functional and remote teams;
  • Technical experience dealing with multiple data systems and reporting platforms. SAP is an advantage;
  • Ability to create and maintain a balanced, positive work environment;
  • Willingness to travel approximately 10% p.a.;
  • Strong process improvement skills;
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team;
  • Ability to share information, transfer knowledge and expertise to team members;
  • Ability to escalate issues and seek guidance as required.
