The Enterprise Solutions Consultant is a role which requires a mixture of business, sales, and technical ability.  This role sits within Hyperwallet, a PayPal service.  A successful candidate is a results-driven individual who operates with a sense of humor when under pressure, can understand and communicate technical concepts, and enjoys both pre-sales activities as well as detailed solution design.  This individual is a strategic and creative thinker with a high level of ownership, self-motivation and initiative and must be able to work with little supervision and take initiative to hunt down a resource when they need to find answers or solve problems. This role directly partners with the account management and sales teams during pre-sales activities through solution design leading to a successful client implementation and launch.  In this role the Sr. Solutions Consultant will directly interface with both internal cross-function and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Collaborate with and the sales team to provide product consultation and lead the integration solution discovery process, evaluating business needs to identify the appropriate value position to win the opportunity
  • Use both functional and technical knowledge to develop and communicate proposals and solutions in a simple and compelling way, including technical and process flow charts
  • Lead all Solution Design workshops both internal and external - by collaborating with sales owner to develop the agenda, materials required to reach goals of workshop, and follow-up communication with the opportunity/client
  • Own technical delivery of a working solution, including working with the Technical Implementations Team to test the design, ensure optimal customer and user experience prior to UAT credentials being provided to the customer.
  • Coordinate with other departments (Business Operations, Implementation & Training, Product, and Compliance) to document the solution and how it is meant to be implemented, utilized in the specific use cases, and ensure delivery is aligned with client expectations.
  • Identify and raise product/functionality gaps and collaborate with internal product and technology teams to define the necessary development to support solution delivery or develop viable alternatives.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert in payouts and Hyperwallet integrations and be able to provide training on products and system functionality to internal and external groups
  • Develop, nurture, and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Configure and customize demo accounts, as well as support maintaining demo environments used by global sales teams.
  • Conduct on-site and remote presentations, communicating the functionality and benefits of Hyperwallet’s technology and full suite of products and services
  • Support executive team in developing presentations and product demos where customizations are required for strategic or enterprise opportunities.
  • Support the team’s collaborative management of incoming inquiries from developers integrating with our platform, using our sandbox environment, or who have questions regarding our technical documentation.
  • Become a recognized product expert and serve as a guide for internal partners.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to produce RFP and RFI responses.
  • Keep current on industry trends and the competitive landscape.
  • Provide thought leadership when solving new use cases.
  • Provide thought leadership in developing a knowledgeable global solutions team and in supporting a reduced lead to live time for sales.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years technology sales, consulting, solution design or product management experience
  • Ability to communicate and present to a variety of audiences
  • Demonstrated experience in identifying and understanding customer technical/business needs and translating them into viable integrated solutions
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills
  • Detailed oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Good sense of humor
  • Proven ability to handle challenging situations in a professional manner
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Confidence and experience with business platforms such as MS Office, Slack, Skype, Salesforce and virtual meeting tools
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills
  • Confidence, professional acumen, and comfort level to redirect and guide both customer engagements and internal meetings where potentially unexpected feedback is required
  • Technical fluency with APIs and file integrations
  • Track record in working effectively with a wide range of internal stakeholders to form consensus on an appropriate proposal/solution to present to the client
  • Experience in the payments industry is a plus
  • Experience with enterprise organization, preferably retailers/ecommerce/payment gateways/hosting companies, marketplaces

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in the following technical areas is a plus:

  • Latest web technology standards (HTTP, JavaScript, RESTful APIs, JSON, OAuth).
  • Hands-on experience (2 years) with contemporary programming languages such as JavaScript, PHP, Python, Ruby or Java.
  • Working knowledge of firewalls, proxies, TCP/IP, SSL, network security and information security.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and data analysis.
