The sales team partners with various operations to bring the best experiences to our merchants. Additionally, the sales teams partners sales support functions to continuously improve the competencies and capabilities of the sales teams. These include planning, sales training and onboarding, process optimization, administration, and sales reporting.  In this role, you will secure new qualified sales opportunities via outbound calls. This will require you to quickly and accurately set calendar appointments for Account Executives, while serving as a trusted advisor and consultant to clients.

Enterprise Sales - Business Development (12 Months Training Programme)

Key Responsibilities 

  • Prospect and secure new merchants via outbound calls through the alignment of their business needs to PayPal’s customized payment solutions 

  • Able to quickly and accurately set calendar appointments for Sales Rep  

  • Conduct outbound calls to prospect merchants to market PayPal products and services. 

  • Ability to learn and implement PayPal’s proven, structured sales process, ultimately resulting in an accurate product recommendation  

  • Open to consistent, formal coaching from leadership, sales coaches and peers  

  • Aptitude to understand and articulate key business drivers and overcome merchant objections by effectively communication the PayPal value propositions 

  • Maintain consistent high call quality as pre-determined by leadership and sales coaches  

  • Effectively communicate a high level of technical, e-commerce, and business acumen within and between teams 

  • Competitive nature with a strong passion to exceed personal and professional goals  

  • Consistently meet or exceed pre-assigned KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and activity targets  

  • Provide basic admin support for the overall Singapore team 

  • Performed any other duties assigned by managers  

  • Possess knowledge of PayPal’s products and services, as well as trends, developments and challenges of the payments industry. 



  • Familiarity with Retail, F&B lead space preferred 

  • Detail oriented with strong communication skills

  • Strong working knowledge of the internet, e-commerce, and suite of Microsoft Office products 

  • Highly adaptable, thriving and comfortable in a constantly changing environment

  • Positive, entrepreneurial attitude 

  • You will be required to support other markets in SEA, hence ability to speak another SEA language would be added advantage. (Bahasa Indonesian, Thai or Vietnamese)
