The role of the Engagement Manager is to partner with our Business Development teams to operationally enable strategically important merchants and partners onto the PayPal network.

The role of the Engagement Manager is to partner with our Business Development teams to operationally enable strategically important merchants and partners onto the PayPal network.

Primary Job Responsibilities 

  • Sales support – consult with the sales and business development teams to develop streamlined onboarding and merchant support processes for new merchants.
  • Partner engagement – engage with senior level stakeholders externally, understand key requirements and propose viable solutions to meet those needs.
  • Internal stakeholder management – partner with internal stakeholders across the business development, risk & compliance and other enablement teams to ensure continued alignment throughout the enablement lifecycle.
  • Operational enablement – manage the E2E operational enablement of new partners onto the PayPal platform.
  • KPI measurement – measure and track progress against key performance indicators and aid in management / dashboard reporting.
  • Project support – lead and support projects using formal project management methodologies.
  • Voice of the merchant – act as the voice of the merchant / partner and provide feedback to the product and PMM teams to drive continuous improvement of the PayPal product set to meet the needs our merchants and partners. 

Job Requirements

  • Business, Commerce or Computer Science degree or equivalent.
  • Strong project management and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to engage with senior technology and business professionals in a sales, business development or operational capacity and ability to gain buy in.
  • Excellent executive level communication.
  • Understanding of the payments technology landscape, with experience specifically within e-commerce being advantageous.
