PayPal is looking for a talented and highly motivated Office of the CIO (OCIO) Employee Technology Solutions (ETS) Technology Risk Management (TRM) Coordinator. The OCIO Enterprise Risk Management function spans audit readiness and remediation, vulnerabilities and threats management, and risk mitigation. Through partnership with Information Security and Enterprise Risk, this coordinator will partner with leaders to ensure ETS is in compliance with security and risk policy, disaster recovery and business continuity guidelines, OCIO monitoring strategy, as well as helping drive a culture of self-disclosure. The Technology Risk Management Coordinator has the responsibility for facilitating discussions and communications with owners of Business Continuity Plans, Disaster Recovery Plans, and Issue/Risk to ensure the teams have the necessary guidance to meet PayPal’s rigorous standards. In close partnership and collaboration with governance teams such as Technology Risk Management (TRM), Enterprise Risk Compliance and Security (ERCS), the Risk Coordinator will ensure policies and related guidance are interpreted and shared with internal ETS program stakeholders in a timely manner. When necessary, the Risk Coordinator may be called upon by the PayPal Resiliency and Incident Management (RIMT) for disseminating or gathering team-specific information during trending and unplanned Business Continuity-related events. Additionally, the Risk Coordinator has the responsibility to support investigation during the issue intake process to help evaluate the details and ensure the issue ownership is appropriately assigned to the correct teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drives Disaster Recovery (DR)/Business Continuity (BC)/Business Impact Analysis (BIA) activities for the ETS organization in partnership with OCIO TRM and ETS Leaders.
  • Drives resiliency throughout the OCIO ETS organization.
  • Supports development and maintenance of disaster recovery, business continuity and business impact analysis plans.
  • Develops and leads OCIO ETS Resiliency cadences.
  • Partners with OCIO Resiliency to drive PayPal Resiliency standards across OCIO.
  • Continuous engagement and alignment with global delivery-oriented stakeholders within the OCIO, including Product Owners, Operational Excellence, Engineering, Testing, and Support and Operations.
  • Drives awareness of resiliency through training, communication, and workshops.
  • Actively engages in cadences with partner organizations in appropriate business and technology areas.
  • Influence direction, roadmap, and standards for OCIO TRM.
  • Guide stakeholders with maintenance and preparation of clear, detailed and accurate continuity plans and lead execution of test plans against them.
  • Connect ETS DR Plans to true business recovery time objectives (RTO) through BU and ETS engagement.
  • Act as the main point of contact for questions and assistance requests from system and application owners and other key stakeholders across the ETS organization.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 3+ years of technology experience
  • Strong preference for candidates with experience in Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity.
  • Undergraduate degree in a computer science or technology related field required
  • Superior interpersonal abilities. Proven persuasion skills. Ability to interact positively with diverse personalities; tactful; mature; flexible. Able to collaborate and achieve actionable results through others.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) as well as comfortable and experienced in presentation development and delivery.  Effective at meeting facilitation for small and large groups.
  • Comfortable coordinating multiple projects concurrently and dealing with rapidly changing priorities, in conjunction with day-to-day activities.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • A self-starter who uses experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Exceptional organizational, planning, and execution abilities.
  • Must possess a track record of strategy execution, innovation, and execution in a high-pressure environment.
  • Able to make timely, high-quality decisions, based on limited information.
