We need a top-notch storyteller and communications expert to help us do it right.

In this role, you will use your outstanding writing and communications skills to help drive and deliver the internal voice and stories of PayPal - what we say to our employees and how we say it. You will own the editorial strategy and content for our companywide intranet and internal employee platforms and liase with key stakeholders across the company to ensure we are providing employees with the most relevant information, and taking a holistic approach across internal and external content.You will also partner across the Employee Communications team to create a variety of compelling written communications.

You should have outstanding writing expertise across multiple platforms, be  flexible, well organized, thrive on getting things done in a fast-paced environment, and be passionate about telling the stories that help employees be happier and more effective at what they do. 

What you’ll do: 

  • Maintain editorial oversight of our company intranet and internal platforms, including sourcing, drafting and proofing content site-wide.
  • Maintain and help develop new digital and social employee platforms, including Slack, etc.  
  • Partner with external communications and content lead to devlop stories for distribution to media and social channels to ensure a holistic approach to shaping and telling our story.  
  • Serve as the employee story point of contact, filtering and responding to submissions, assigning and coordinating content, and maintaining our editorial calendar.  
  • Act as a “roving reporter” for content; listing, finding and producing the stories that matter to employees.
  • Lead the intranet steering committee and build and maintain relationships with key internal contacts across the company to ensure that all groups are represented and employees receive the most relevant and encompassing content.  
  • Assist in writing communications that update and engage employees around company news and programs. 
  • Workly closely with IT on all technical aspects of the employee portal and digital employee experience.
  • Work closely with key stakeholder departments including Communications, IT, HR, Risk and Legal, and business teams) to coordinate content, and advise on best practices.
  • Manage freelance writers and production resources as needed
