The Employee Central Consultant is responsible for handling high volume employee absenteeism/attendance, leaves of absence cases, accommodation requests as well as employment paperwork/filings that may be required by local jurisdictional requirements, for all of India. Individual will work in a fast-paced, high volume environment in which attention to detail and proficiency in company policies and guidelines are balanced with PayPal culture and values. Advisor will coach and guide managers on absence and attendance and appropriate corrective actions. Individual will work on sensitive issues that require sound judgment and confidentiality

Overall responsibility:

Provides coaching and advice to managers on performance management and corrective action related to attendance/absenteeism   Review and manage accommodation requests Provides coaching and advice to managers on leave of absence cases, which may include engagement with leave vendors, payroll, employee benefits, and employees. Manages communications and filings that may be required by local jurisdictional requirements as part of employee onboarding and/or offboarding

Core duties :

1.  Resolve routine activities around corrective action, Schedule adherence, Non egregious conduct issues. 

2.   Track and report all PIP and corrective action cases and follow up actions / closures.

3.  Manage all matters pertaining to short term disability leave assessment

4.  Prepare Redundancy Letters & Back-end update - Letter Generation, Toolkit for Managers & Back-end entry in SalesForce & WD.

5. Prepare CM or CC and separation / termination letters

6.HR Vendor Management for Site Interventions & HR Programs - Vendor management, PO, Legal Agreement, Invoice processing, Risk Assessment (Initial & Periodic)

Prerequisite Knowledge & Proficiency:

  • Solid knowledge and understanding of employment legislation, its interpretation and implementation, and of employment practices particularly in the area of absenteeism, leaves of absence and accommodations
  • Skilled and passionate about coaching and developing manager capabilities
  • Accomplished at using effective listening and inquiry skills to handle sensitive conversations with discretion, composure and compassion
  • Strong analytical mindset, able troubleshooter adept at analyzing large amounts of detailed information, diagnosing problems and recommending appropriate solutions
  • Fluency in English
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
  • 3-4 years Human Resources experience in a global organization with a specific focus on absenteeism, leaves and accommodations
  • HR qualification is an added advantage
  • Ability to operate at pace and with independence, while identifying when escalation is appropriate and when to engage other partners and stakeholders
