The Director, Global Talent Acquisition - Technical will lead our branding of PayPal as a global employer of choice and help attract top talent to join our teams. This leader will develop and drive our recruiting strategy and execution to support our rapid growth. She/he will be optimizing the talent acquisition function and processes, building a unique employment brand, building on our engaging candidate experience and acting as a strategic talent advisor to business leaders. With the ongoing growth of the organization, the Talent Acquisition function will scale-up on how we deliver creative talent solutions in a more strategic way, supporting the key senior hiring agenda across the organization with a high-touch service offering. You will be responsible for leading a high-performing center of excellence including a core recruitment delivery function that will be responsible for employee value proposition, ensuring that we are building and attracting a diverse candidate pipeline, building and engaging talent communities for senior/critical hire vacancies, executive recruitment, inclusion and diversity and early talent programs. This is a highly visible role in the company with significant interaction with the executive staff of PayPal. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record of success in a large, global organization as a Talent Acquisition Leader where they have built and delivered high-touch initiatives, led a high-performing team and solved complex problems through the successful implementation of key initiatives. The ideal candidate thrives in a high growth mode environment with lots of ownership. This leader will report to the Global Sr. Director, TA and will be located in San Jose, CA.

Job Requirements:

The role will require, but is not limited to, the following:

• Help tell the story of the employee experience at PayPal incorporating the Employee Value Proposition into the recruiting processes, language, tools, events and social media strategies.

• Create an exceptional candidate experience that represents PayPal’s employee experience.

• Build robust talent pipelines that tap into targeted universities, companies, regions and domain expert communities.

• Lead complex and sensitive executive searches both in-house and in partnership with external search firms to bring high quality executives into PayPal’s organization.

• Lead and inspire a high-performing team of talent acquisition professionals, recruiters, and talent operations teams.

• Scale the Technical Talent Acquisition team, ensuring they have the right resource allocation and ratio of talent partners and associates with the business.

• Share knowledge and best practices within the talent acquisition team, as well as within the organization to ensure that PayPal recruiting is highly effective.

• Quickly establish a clear understanding of the business needs and the activity required to best support long-term objectives.

 • Shape, influence and inform key stakeholders (Business leaders and Finance partners) of the objectives and benefits to the business whilst managing expectations.

• Need to work closely with key HR stakeholders (i.e. Talent Management, HRBP, Total Rewards) to ensure that the hiring experience is fully representative of the PayPal leadership and talent philosophies as well as competitive rewards philosophies.

• Create and implement effective talent acquisition strategies; analyzing and understanding insights to create frameworks to solve complex business problems.

• Deliver quarterly dashboard on key hiring metrics and KPIs.

• Build-out longer-term programs of work including best-in class diversity recruiting efforts.

• Accountable for managing suppliers; driving accountability, relationships and results.

• Required to travel to different PayPal sites.

Qualifications & Experience:

• BA/BS degree required. MBA or applicable graduate degree highly desirable.

• Talent acquisition experience in technology or fintech companies preferred.

• Technical expertise, empirical mindset and employment of a data-driven approach.

• Extraordinary relationship building: build strong relationships within PayPal and with candidates.

• Skilled at using data and analytics to develop insights and drive decisions.

• Keen ability to establish and articulate an inspiring vision; clearly translate it into executable strategy and drive team performance to deliver against the plan.

• Demonstrated exceptional communication skills (verbal, written and presentation) at all levels.

• 10 plus years of professional experience that includes significant executive recruiting and scaling technical recruiting.

• 5 years leading global talent acquisition at a fast-growing business.
