This role will work alongside sales, product, finance, and other teams to help commercialize our suite of solutions across the biggest strategic customers/partners. The director will manage a team of high-caliber individuals to help drive growth with the biggest tech platforms, merchants/retailers, consumer ecosystems, and channel partners. Successful candidates will have a background in payments / fintech, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to navigate complex commercial models (pricing, demand elasticity, monetization, P/L construction, etc). We’re looking for a leader who can communicate effectively with stakeholders and motivate an all-star team to support & deliver the right outcomes for the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Influence sales leadership and other cross-functional teams in thinking through complex business models of extending our value prop with top global accounts/partners.
  • Utilize the full strength of financial & analytical nuances across the dimensions of customer segments, products, and markets to find the right balance of trade.  
  • Construct compelling arguments and negotiating tactics that create winning commercial outcomes (revenue & margin profile of partnership strategies)
  • Be fully immersed in supporting the iterations of deal negotiation as a trusted partner to the sales team – sales pitches, term sheets and contracts, leadership presentations, etc.
  • Run the deal & pricing approval process and adhere to agreed SLA with sales team.
  • Manage, motivate, and lead a team of 4 – 6 high caliber individuals with strong strategy/finance backgrounds.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders within sales, product, finance, and other functional teams. Engage in the cadence/process of interactions, be a team player, and a positive influence to drive the right outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • 12 - 15 years of relevant finance, strategic sales / BD, strategic pricing, strategy, corp dev experience.
  • An understanding of payments product & technology is preferred and will go a long way in the success of this role.
  • Growth mindset and the ability to understand and get creative with next generation of product / commercial solutions
  • Deep experience in navigating through complex pricing/monetization and financial models and the ability to build negotiating tactics / insights.
  • Talent for synthesizing highly complicated / nuanced ideas and communicating them in ways others can easily understand (both oral and written)
  • Ability to lead a high-performance team, guiding them to deliver outstanding results
  • Versatility in navigating a complex & matrixed corporate environment while juggling multiple responsibilities. A collaborative mindset is essential.
  • Highly dependable, with ability to drive things to conclusion in a dynamic and fast-paced organization.
  • Must be proactive, resourceful, and demonstrate intellectual curiosity.
  • Exhibit the highest standards of integrity and be pleasant & fun to work with.

Education:

  • MBA, Master’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred
