The PayPal sales organization acquires merchant and partners via direct and indirect sales teams. The global sales operations team supports the functions essential to the global sales force. These functions include planning, sales training and onboarding, process optimization, compensation design and administration, sales tools management and administration, sales and partner reporting, rev share and account management.
The Director of Global Sales Operations Technology will be a leader with exceptional organization, communication, product, and process skills. This person will have a proven track record scoping and building products and experience for global sales teams. This leader will work with multiple teams across the organization to drive build and deployment of global sales tools functionality including CRM, incentive platforms, enablement platforms and reporting suites. He | She will accomplish this by managing our global sales technology team. This position requires hands-on experience in and other sales technology platforms, stakeholder management, delivery management and team management. In collaboration with functional leaders, this individual will be responsible for identification of the organization’s sales technology needs, solution design and deployment. The role reports to the VP of Global Sales Operations.

  • Act as business liaison between Sales and other teams and collaborate directly with the business users and data owners to establish business rules, processes and solutions, including the integration of sales automation data into downstream systems.
  • Collaborate with functional owners and other platform leads to develop roadmaps for sales tools and platforms. Roadmap needs to be built on detail understanding of the business functions, processes and overall business strategies.
  • Define and document detailed business requirements, and approve specifications for new functionality.
  • Partners with cross-functional teams on the analysis, design and implementation of new applications, enhancements, feature releases and special projects, including defining roadmaps and project plans, project status reports, issue logs, testing plans, training & transition plans, change management etc.
  • Serve as key liaison with internal technical resources in areas related to system support for areas.
  • Maintain familiarity with internal system /business application capabilities and scope definition in order to make recommendations about potential upstream/downstream integration or functionality intersection points.
  • Maintain and communicate system metrics to track trends in usage and data quality
  • Manage all aspects of SalesForce configuration and technical/functional capabilities, including all changes and potential system implications related to the major Salesforce release upgrades as well as regular internal SDLC process.
  • Manage the maintenance and development of sales automation system tools and software for global sales teams.
  • Pursue further industry knowledge, business systems integrations, CRM functionality, best practices and trends as it pertains to Sales and Marketing functionality
  • Actively lead and participate in change management lifecycle, including requirement gathering, implementation, testing, and support.
  • Stay current with emerging CRM and, App technologies and solutions.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Mathematics or marketing required. Master's Degree in related field considered.
  • 15+ years of related leadership experience

  • Requires an excellent understanding of standard business practices related to Sales Operations processes and systems (sales cycle,, reporting, forecasting, territory management and sales quotas).

  • CRM technology, specifically
  • Experience in project management and business solutions development
  • Knowledge of marketing, sales and financial concepts within the health care insurance industry
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong leadership, analytical and communication skills
  • Experience managing global teams.
  • Working knowledge of the Agile development methodology.
