Hiring a senior payments professional to fulfill our requirements for our International / Cross Border Trade Markets (CBT) which include South East Asia, India and Middle East and Africa. This individual will need to have a thorough all-round understanding of payments including regulation, value chain, economics and emerging innovation/technologies. Prior experience running the payments area of a Digital Wallet or Large merchants is a plus.

The Cross Border Trade (CBT) Markets and Partner lead is a key role within our global Omni Payments team. The individual will have responsibility for the CBT markets which encompass the regions of South East Asia, India and Middle East and Africa. The individual will manage all PayPal's key payment partners in the CBT markets optimizing around the KPI's of performance, cost and revenue enablement. The individual will be key stakeholder in managing PayPal’s core payments products and capabilities across CBT markets and expanding PayPal’s capabilities in these markets.Responsibilities will include managing commercial relationships with our payment network partners, schemes and financial institutions & building out local partnerships with institutions to drive new business, acquire customers and drive KPIs. This position will be based in Singapore.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Building PayPal’s presence in the CBT markets and enhancing PayPal’s capabilities and KPIs across PayPal products in the markets.

  • Manage commercial relationships with a portfolio of CBT payment partnerships and be the first point of contact for the relationship and the PayPal business.

  • Drive the sourcing and delivery of new products and partnerships that optimize our KPI's of transaction expense, authorization rate & revenue enablement.

  • Analysis and optimization of our payment solutions and make recommendations to improve KPIs (including transaction approval success rates).

Skills:

  • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills and ability to apply payments expertise to real life situations.

  • Deep understanding of payments including processing value chain, settlement, and local and scheme regulations

  • Ability to work in a cross functional environment with proven track record of delivering projects.

  • Strong negotiation and relationships management skills.

  • Understanding of payment economics and financials
