The PayPal Customer Experience & Technology (CE&T) organization is looking for a collaborative and strategically oriented sales professional to join the PayPal Marketing Solutions (PPMS) team.  This individual will lead the formation of a center of excellence for Sales of Marketing Solutions in PayPal and help shape, implement, and manage the organization’s sales plan and strategy. The Head of Sales of PPMS Sales will work closely with PayPal’s strategic growth managers and PayPal’s marketing teams to formulate sales strategy and operational planning for meeting and exceeding sales targets. This leader will co-own all PayPal Marketing Solutions targets across large enterprise and mid-market retail customers globally partnering with relevant account executives serving those customers. You will act as a consultant and liaison, and build strong business cases with prospective clients. In addition, the Head of Sales of PPMS Sales will hire and develop a team of account executives/consultants and set up sales processes for the organization.


  • Maintaining and growing revenue within PPMS existing customer base by working with sales and customer success teams
  • Maintaining and growing pipeline of large enterprise merchants
  • Working with PayPal strategic growth managers to build partnerships with senior executives at PayPal’s large enterprise and mid-market merchants.
  • Taking a consultative, value-based approach to selling with a high degree of professionalism, accuracy, and follow-up
  • Consistently meeting and exceeding sales booking targets for PPMS
  • Planning for the consistent growth in sales booking targets in line with company objectives, as well as providing an accurate weekly forecast of opportunities.
  • Working collaboratively with PPMS teams to ensure successful implementation of PPMS products and services with the ultimate goal of producing satisfied and reference-able customers.
  • Hire and develop a sales team that will achieve sales goals thorough successful sales processes.
  • Cooperatively work with other members of the PPMS team to provide feedback about customer needs and requirements, competitive positioning, and future potential product and market opportunities that are consistent with PPMS strategic vision.
  • Build compensation plans and other supporting operating processes to create a center of excellence of Marketing Solutions Sales process within a large payments enterprise and ensuring its continued success.


  • 10+ years of sales and marketing experience,
  • 4+ years in leadership and management
  • 4+ years of successful experience selling digital marketing or digital experience solutions (preferably SaaS solutions) to CMOs, Directors and VPs of Digital Marketing or Digital Experience in the retail industry
  • Experience setting up sales processes
  • Solid understanding of the automated marketing space, especially as it pertains to the retail and e-commerce industry
  • A consistent track record of signing large enterprise-level customers and demonstrated history of exceeding quota
  • Consultative sales style and excellent core sales skills
  • A stable track record of success working for fast-growing software companies 
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey issues clearly, and concisely
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and demands in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • Ability to travel on an as-needed basis (up to 30% travel time)
  • BA/BS degree from an accredited university
