As the Director of Marketing Technology, you will lead the development products that aid customer growth, business expansion and automation. You and your team will arm the Marketing (as well as sales and other teams alike) with technologies that optimize and automate their experiences for inbound and outbound marketing. The team will own the Marketing Technology roadmap for Measurement, Decision, Data Aggregation and Distribution.

As the MarTech team leader, your responsibilities include:

  • Creating vision and prioritization for MarTech capabilities at PayPal and its subsidiaries including Venmo, iZettle, Xoom, Hyperwallet, Braintree (and others in time)
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to develop platform capabilities around Data, Decisioning, Distribution and Measurement domains
  • Create and refine use cases with detailed product requirements to articulate desired product features and functionality as well as technical specifications and user experience & design.
  • Drive leadership and collaboration of x-functional teams to drive agenda. Interact with executives in Enterprise Data Management, Platform Services, Enterprise Architecture, Global Data & Risk Sciences, Global Analytics, Consumer & Merchant Product
  • Monitoring impact of product features on merchant usage, merchant engagement, and other key metrics
  • Develop metrics and studies to quantify the value of different aspects of business processes and consumer behavior
  • Optimizing technology investment through clear tradeoffs between time-to-market and long term solutions
  • Translate analytic insights into concrete, actionable recommendations for business or product improvement • Troubleshooting product issues and answer product questions – be the product ‘expert’
  • Acting as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding of your product and its features across the company
  • Strong analytical skills; creative and relentless problem solver
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to thrive in a matrix environment where success depends on a high degree of cross-functional collaboration
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, unfazed by technical detail, committed to flawless execution
  • Team player; ability to interface and build relations at all levels internally and externally
  • Skilled at developing detailed product requirements, working closely with product development
  • 5+ years of experience working on platform products and applications
  • Ability to build products starting with the customer and data
  • BSCS, BSEE, BS in Statistics or similar degree required
