To support this mission, PayPal is seeking research analytics professionals to drive the Market Research team. Market Research team is accountable for guiding the Leadership & Stakeholders with actionable insights derived from Consumers and Merchants in Americas, EMEA and APAC across PayPal platforms. It supports PayPal’s executives by delivering world-class decision management solutions that provide insights on key business drivers, trends, and opportunities. The Manager, Market Research Analytics role reports directly to the Head of Market Research and is a high-impact position with global development of enterprise tools.

Responsibilities include building analytical foundations for scalable solutions that are essential to decision-making with internal business partners. The Manager will be responsible for leading the global cross-enterprise products including building essential tools to enrich customer understanding. The team’s mandate includes designing new performance management solutions as well as optimizing the global portfolio of existing solutions. The role requires strong strategic and analytical skills, and the ability to work with stakeholders across geographies, businesses and functions. Additionally, the role requires the ability to drive change and innovation, as the group’s scope and mandate expand.
 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This role would be the single point of contact for all M&A related financial forecasts, actuals, variance explanations etc.
  • Contribute insights and learnings of target company to deal team and PayPal executives
  • Requires building a strong partnership with the M&A team to and work closely on the deal models, provide them with FP&A support, context and insights during deal assessment and post close
  • Track progress toward achieving deal value drivers and work to maximize the success of each acquisition
  • Drive communications within Finance and across the M&A team, and follow through to make sure the various parties deliver on their commitments.
  • Build the foundation for institutional knowledge and scalability in the M&A finance responsibilities
  • Be the advocate for finance interests in all aspects of M&A
  • Ensure historical records are retained and archived as required
  • Build relationships with Finance and Accounting of acquired entities, determine and ensure proper home inside PayPal, or effective transitions
  • Provide the latest and most likely view of the minority investments portfolio to the central team
  • Drive communications within Finance and across the M&A team, and follow through to make sure the various parties deliver on their commitments.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • 15+ years of finance experience with relevant experience in both FP&A and M&A finance  
  • Experience in high-growth companies, especially in the technology sector
  • Ability to manage large-scale projects across multiple functional areas, influencing stakeholders and driving results
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and produce quality results in a high pressure environment
  • Have a point of view and be willing to share
  • Passionate about team work
  • Outstanding project management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills a must
  • Self-starter, and ability to provide results in real time…must be proactive.

  • Bachelor’s degree from a top tier institution with analytics foundation. MBA/MS is a plus.
