The Director, US Consumer Credit Sales will work to analyze, target, present and close deals with a portfolio of targeted clients or verticals. As a sales leader, you will have a hunger & determination for winning new business, be passionate about digital commerce and have a genuine interest in PayPal Credit Solutions and products. You will be required to focus on all aspects of PayPal’s Consumer Credit payment solutions and partner with the North America sales team in closing deals on a strategic pipeline. You will implement their extraordinary consultative sales skills to communicate and negotiate with the most senior executives of leading enterprises across a range of industry verticals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in building and executing on US PayPal Credit Sales and Business Development sales plan to sell PayPal’s Credit solutions across multiple industries to achieve substantive revenue growth goals.
  • Working with the GMs and Sr Director of US Consumer Credit, and in strong partnership with the US Commercial Sales teams, coordinate sales efforts for presenting, promoting, and selling PayPal Credit services to targeted client. 
  • Assist in analyzing Client/market potential, track sales, and report results.
  • Utilize a consultative approach to sell PayPal’s US Credit solutions to merchants across a range of industry verticals
  • Actively engage clients by selling PayPal’s Credit solutions in a compelling yet consultative style
  • Conduct customer meetings with senior level executives at the CEO, CMO, CFO & COO level. Negotiate commercial terms, contracts and close deals with strategic merchants
  • Play a supporting role with internal key contacts (Pre-sales product specialists, Integration engineers, Finance, Legal and Marketing etc.) to develop programs that mutually benefit both PayPal, US Consumer Credit organization, and the client.

Personal Qualities, Knowledge, Experience and Skills Required

  • Candidate MUST have a genuine passion for technology, fintech and payments space.
  • Self-starter; proactive with ability to work autonomously and within a team.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a complex organization.
  • Vast retail network and proven success negotiating and closing deals with both large and small companies
  • Experience in US credit sales; depth in US consumer payments (bankcard, private label, co-brand, mobile wallet) sales and/or business development preferred.  Fluency in digital commerce a bonus.
  • Deep leadership experience with demonstrated ability to hire, develop and retain exceptional talent.
  • Exceptional consultative sales skills with a passion & hunger to win.
  • Results oriented, analytical, self motivated & a “hands on” person with proven ability to meet objectives & targets
  • Ability to effectively manage a pipeline and be an organized administrator working within a defined sales process
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, negotiation and presentation skills required
  • Demonstrated ability in successfully working within a highly matrixed organization.
