With more and more sophisticated solutions, some newly developed, some recently acquired, the Go-To-Market (GTM) Foundation team aims at supporting our global sales and marketing teams to get the most out of our PYPL value proposition. Our GTM Foundation objective is to achieve this by identifying and scaling best practices, by optimizing sales and cross-sell conversion rates and, above all, by adapting and designing our solutions to customers’ and partners’ needs. The key objective is offering the best trade-off between effort to integrate and value to get from PYPL on any channel for any customer segment. The Director of GTM Foundation for Mid-Market will be responsible for the sales enablement of the mid-market segment, one of the most dynamic parts of the business. The position based in San Francisco Bay Area and reports to the Head of Global GTM Foundation. It is highly visible in the organization and involves frequent interaction with the senior executives as well as external stakeholders, globally.

The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of the enterprise sales cycle, economics of the payments space and the enterprise customer’s journey with payments. You should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions and work cross-organizationally to build consensus. A keen sense of ownership, drive, and entrepreneurship is a must.

Responsibilities:

  • This position partners closely with the global Mid-Market Segment team to design and execute the global strategy, priorities, and business outcomes.
  • You will work with stakeholders across geographical and functional groups (product, sales, marketing, strategy, ops, finance) to implement, operate and execute go to market activities.
  • Responsible for translating strategy into outcomes through the design & execution of go to market programs/initiatives including but not limited to: sales and marketing enablement and creation of product collateral
  • Communicate priorities, activities, and results to the larger organization, including executive leadership.
  • Manage large, complex cross-functional projects.
  • Identify and take on ad hoc strategic projects - everything from defining new opportunities to executing key initiatives, and closing the gaps in business and operations
  • You will be expected to juggle priorities across different orgs and regions

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience, including at least five years of experience leading go to market strategy and delivery.
  • A proven track record of success in fast-paced environments with demanding timelines.
  • Experience designing and leading strategic planning and change management at a hyper-growth, product-centric company. Ability to track, prioritize, and drive multiple concurrent projects to success.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate and influence to lead cross-functional teams
  • Outstanding executive communication skills (verbal and visual) with an ability to explain complex business and technical concepts to broad audiences in an approachable way.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to correlate data and trends to business drivers, while thinking big and leading executive messaging. This position is expected to utilize data and metrics to communicate needs with ease.
  • Entrepreneurial, proactive, operates under minimal supervision. High tolerance for ambiguity and complexity. Efficient with limited resources
  • Demonstrated thought leadership, excellent problem-solving skills and the aptitude to think creatively and identify new ways to innovate and differentiate with evidence of tangible business results.
  • Passionate about what you do and fired up about the opportunity to transform payments working for the industry leader.
  • An advanced degree from a top school strongly preferred
  • PayPal and financial/payment industry knowledge are a plus, but not required
