The Director of Global Accounts is responsible for acquiring new business, driving revenue and developing growth strategies with PayPal’s largest clients and prospects. This role requires a significant track record of successful sales leadership targeting multi-national organizations. Ultimately, this high-level performer is expected to create genuine connections with some of the most impressive companies in the world.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on, high energy self-starter who enjoys a challenge, and is accustomed to working in a fast-paced dynamic environment while constantly focusing on delivering results. This an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about driving sales results in a dynamic environment and has demonstrated the ability to take ideas to execution.

The candidate will have experience selling payment processing technology, possess solid financial and technology acumen along with top-notch relationship building skills.  The leader must be focused on exceeding pipeline, sales, revenue, operational and strategic goals.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and define the strategy to acquire and grow PayPal’s largest, multi-national customers.
  • Execute to achieve sales targets and key business results.
  • Develop relationships and credibility required to effectively convey the value of PayPal’s solutions and vision to C-level executives within complex multi-national companies. 
  • Negotiate commercial terms, contracts and close deals with multi-national companies.
  • Effectively manage the internal process required for a complex sales process. Internal key contacts include pre-sales product specialists, integration engineers, finance, legal and marketing etc.
  • Serve as a catalyst for change and continuous improvement. Recommend improvements to sales strategies based on learnings and competitor analysis.
  • Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; M.B.A. a plus.
  • 7+ years of experience in selling payments and processing industry experience 
  • Technology-related sales experience.
  • Extensive consultative sales experience involving lengthy complex sales processes with global e-commerce businesses.
     
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a matrixed organization.
  • Exceptional consultative sales skills with a passion & hunger to win.
  • Results oriented, analytical, self-motivated & a “hands on” person with proven ability to meet objectives & targets.
  • 50-75% Travel
