As the Director, Data & Analytics in the Customer Success and Insights organization, you will embark on a path of building world class Data & Analytics team making data as part of our DNA.  Our team will power PayPal’s Customer Success organization by delivering actionable insights and business intelligence at scale to our product teams, business teams and executive leadership.  In this role, you will lead a team to develop solutions for complex, ambiguous and high-visibility business challenges. You will set and execute on a vision for your team that reflects your deep analytical expertise. You will be a thought partner to product and customer service leadership teams.    You will partner with these teams to understand the insights they require to manage and grow their business and leverage cross-functional teams to develop and land solutions that meet their needs at scale. You are deeply curious and persistent in gaining knowledge about our products and go-to-market strategy. You will have exposure and visibility to PayPal executives, as you work with them to understand their needs and promote solutions that your team develops. Responsibilities 
•    Manage and develop a global team of data/decision analysts/scientists.
•    Develop and deliver insights on how to improve customer service platforms.
•    Identify opportunities to grow your team’s impact by understanding business pain points and leveraging analytic techniques to find innovative solutions.
•    Instill a culture of operational and data excellence.
•    Partner with upstream product team and downstream collaborators to ensure our product and business teams have access to accurate and timely insights to support innovation and new product development
•    Work with stakeholders in the Customer Service organization to understand the business intelligence and insights needs

Basic Qualifications
•    Bachelor’s degree with a quantitative focus in Economics, Computer Science, Statistics, other technical field or equivalent practical experience. MS/MBA or PhD in quantitative field is preferred.
•    +10 years of experience in analytics, engineering or management consulting or equivalent analytical and project management experience
•    Experience in managing analytics projects from inception to delivery, including developing structured solutions.

Preferred Qualifications
•    Track record of thought leadership in applying data driven insights
•    Knowledge of advanced analytics techniques and capabilities.
•    Track record of pushing the boundaries of data and developing novel approaches to shed new light on difficult questions.
•    Track record of developing teams with ability to navigate ambiguity
•    Ability to partner with stakeholders to define analysis requirements and priorities, develop and execute strategy and balance short- vs long-term deliverables.
•    Ability to leverage executive presence to partner with/influence executives on a global basis.
•    Exceptional business acumen with an understanding of business drivers and value-creation
