The Director of Business Operations is a key leadership role reporting into the VP & Managing Director UK.

Key to success for a candidate is to be a motivated self-starter who enjoys understanding the PayPal business in the UK. This is a senior role and projects and topics will not only need to be driven independently, but new focus themes need to be suggested and promoted to the UK leadership team without prompting. This role needs to be the “glue” between the different parts of the organization in order to maintain an end-to-end view of the business.



Director of Business Operations (m/f/d)

Key Responsibilities:

•         Support the Sales organization in the ongoing Sales Transformation journey and overarching sales projects, cadence, reporting

•         Lead cross-functional initiatives for the UK

•         Lead agenda setting and cross-functional collaboration in the Management Team together with the Managing Director

•         Support the Managing Director in overarching topics such as site management, exec presentations, workshop preparation etc.

•         Internal & external key events strategy & organization

•         Leverage internal and external data to provide actionable commercial insights that can deliver revenue growth

•         Identify new business opportunities and initiatives that will support the growth of our merchants and market

•         Work with multiple other business functions to deliver and implement on the identified actionable insights and initiatives

•         Support Finance and local business teams with budget planning

•         Work closely with Sales, Sales Ops, and Finance to provide an overview of risks and opportunities in our sales pipeline

•         Drive accountability with sales teams to achieve their sales targets

Requirements:

•         Masters degree or equivalent

•         Solid experience as a sales leader or equivalent

•         Strong business acumen and thorough understanding of B2B and B2C digital business models

•         Analytical understanding – gets the numbers, interprets them, knows how to structure analytics

•         Empathic leadership style

•         Very strong communication and networking skills

•         Ability to manage a diverse set of topics and projects in parallel

•         Manage the matrix – work with peers, manage upwards and downwards

•         Strong intrinsic motivation to find solutions to issues and ownership of topics until they are resolved

•         A natural curiosity about developments in the FinTech markets

•         Excellent written and spoken English
