PayPal's Cloud infrastructure team is in the journey of Infrastructure-as-Code transformation to build very matured DevOps capabilities to manage large scale infrastructure fleet and application deployments with extreme discipline and ease of operations. This is a team of very talented and passionate engineers working on simplifying and solving some of the complex problems we have in managing a very large fleet. To augment this team, we're looking to hire a hands-on DevOps/Systems/Puppet engineer with strong technical background and demonstrated experience in DevOps.

To augment this team, we're looking to hire a hands-on DevOps/Systems/Puppet engineer with strong technical background and demonstrated experience in DevOps. 

  • 4+ years of experience as a System admin/engineer in UNIX/LINUX environment
  • Hands-on experience in Configuration Management using Puppet, setting up and operating Puppet infrastructure at scale and writing very clean puppet modules
  • Embrace DevOps and Infra-as-Code culture with the right mindset to automate everything possible
  • Good understanding of Linux operating systems is preferred
  • Experience in OS hardening and implementing security controls is a great plus
  • A very reliable engineer the team can count on to deliver on time and with utmost quality
  • A great team player with effective communication within and outside the team
  • A self-starter, a go-getter…someone who can get things done!
