PayPal (Paydiant division) Engineering Services organization is responsible for supporting customers in the technical integration of the In-Store White Label Mobile Wallet Platform into existing customer infrastructure. This support often takes the form of Connector Development, Customer Support, Certification and Customer on-boarding and configuration.

We are looking for an entry-level engineer that wants to experience what making a difference for the customer really means. You will work with other top-tier technologists to build revolutionary commerce products for some of the world’s largest brands. The problems we are solving are complex, interesting, and fun and we want your help solving them.


Responsibilities:

  • “Own” Customer delivery – full setup end to end of customers on the Paydiant platform.
  • Provide support to Customers and Professional Services at least 50% of the time.
  • Based on product specifications, and engineering input, develop comprehensive acceptance test plans for customer delivery projects.
  • Develop Connectors and/or customer facing tools using Java, Spring, Python, Ruby, Soap and/or JSON.
  • Develop automation for the customer certification process and execute test scripts as needed. 
  • File, verify and close bugs logged against software.
  • Maintain existing and newly developed test scripts.
  • Participate actively in the on-going challenge of improving product quality.
  • Defining and enforcing quality standards on service delivery and certifications.

Requirements:


PayPal is looking for the best combination of skills across a number of areas.  Above all, a hyper-focus on customer success, accompanied by the determination and energy to achieve the customer’s objectives, is mandatory.  Candidates must meet one or more of the following minimum requirements in order to be considered:

  • CS/CE or MIS degree with broad programming/IT skills (1-4 years experience), graduate degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Groovy, Perl or Python.
  • Knowledge of sqlplus and databases such as Oracle, Mongo, MySQL.
  • Experience handling troubleshooting issues for 1st or 2nd line Customer developer Support.
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical and technical troubleshooting skills are required.
  • Excellent customer-facing verbal and written technical communication skills are required.
  • Self-starter that is eager and quick to learn new technologies.
  • Outgoing and upbeat personality.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with development of Payment systems, Mobile applications or Point-of-sale systems.
  • Experience with API development or testing.
  • Hands-on work experience with Java and Spring, and AngularJS.
