The Marketing Database Analyst is responsible for running campaigns across multiple channels for PayPal’s Business Finance Solutions group. This marketing professional will facilitate decision making regarding the overall campaign plan, market segmentation and trigger management. He/she will be responsible for pulling targeted lists, setting up reporting cadences and read-outs to ensure timely action.

Proven ability to lead day-to-day marketing activities, design and develop a campaign execution plan, and execute on it while setting and meeting tight timelines.
 

Technical

  • At least 1-5 years of experience in marketing execution (or) campaign design and execution.
  • Experience in marketing analytics / digital marketing is strongly preferred, familiarity with web analytics is a bonus.
  • Strong ability to relate data to insight and to business decisions.
  • Hands-on data handling experience is a must.
  • Basic knowledge of statistics, design of experiments and A/B testing is preferred. Proficiency with statistical analysis tools (e.g., SAS, SPSS) is a plus.
  • SQL querying ability is a must, expert Excel / PowerPoint skills, PivotTables and basic understanding of data warehouse architecture are required.
  • Familiarity with Tableau / QlikView or any other data visualization software a plus.

Qualifications


Strong academic profile with an emphasis on quantitative coursework (e.g., degree in mathematics/statistics, computer science, economics, engineering).   MBA or equivalent is a plus.
