Graph & Linking Analytical Infra team is looking for a Data Scientist to join the team and take an important role in the team’s current domains – Building PayPal’s Graph DB, developing the linking domain and integrating complex deep learning capabilities. The ideal candidates are problem solvers, equipped with strong analytical & quantitative skills suited to approach various kinds of challenges in complex environments. Adapt at creative and critical thinking, they are able to deconstruct problems and transform personal insights into large scale, state-of-the-art solutions. Candidates must be quick learners with a strong sense of personal responsibility and a technical orientation.

As a Data Scientists in PayPal’s Global Data Science organization, you will have an impact on PayPal’s Merchant and Consumer products all around the world. Making use of PayPal’s endless amount of data, you will leverage your data and machine learning skills, for research and delivery of end-to-end Data Science solutions.

Requirements:

• MS.c Degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering or similar. Average 85 and above from top universities.

• Strong analytical skills

• Code writing capability in any programming language (Python, R, Java, etc.)

• Excellent spoken and written English

• Quick-thinker, fast learner, wide general knowledge, problem solver

• Team worker, responsible , delivery-oriented

• 1-2 years related work experience – an advantage

• Experience in Machine-Learning, Data Mining or Statistics – an advantage

• Hadoop experience (MapReduce, PIG, Hive, Spark) – an advantage
