The role analyse Merchants' transaction information, in order to identify trends in the data and propose new omnichannel campaigns that will drive more revenue to the company. The role tenure is 12 month based in Singapore.

Data Analyst, B2B Database Marketing (12-months Training Programme)

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse Merchants’ transaction information, in order to identify trends in the data and propose new omnichannel campaigns that will drive more revenue to the company.
  • Drive the development of new targeting models and approaches to optimise and scale our global database marketing machine.
  • Ensure a strong analytical approach for delivering impactful insights and accurate/meaningful reporting for all campaigns.
  • Partner with various business team to evaluate and determine the optimal campaigns that Sales teams should work.
  • Have a strong understanding of the underlying Analytics architecture and processes to aid in decision making.
  • Work with Sales and Marketing team on ad-hoc strategic projects.

What will your week look like?

You are collaborating with sales and marketing leaders to identify high-value prospects and potential upsell/xsell opportunities with our robust database setup. You will work closely with global team mates to refine/optimized targeting models and approaches to scale our global database marketing machine. You are proactively identifying new channels or initiatives to accelerate prospects within our sales funnel by working with global and local external data providers on merchant profiling and contact enrichment. 

Skills to be used: Create/Refine SQL queries, Enriched/Dedup by Python.   

What will your quarter look like?

You are automating more and more steps in Marketing while creating new queries and codes to refine existing process and projects. You are doing quarterly enhancement to prospect targeting by adapting global best practices and local nuances to sif out high-value merchants who can better appreciate PayPal’s customer and product position. You are using the levers of extensions being developed by technical enablement pods to make the process more efficient.

Skills to be used: Analytics/database architecture and campaign process automation.

What will your year look like?

You are analysing merchants’ transaction information, in order to identify trends in the data and propose new omnichannel campaign that will drive more revenue to the company. You are driving the development of new targeting and enrichment models/approaches to deliver impactful results across all segments of the PayPal’s business within the international markets.

Skills to be used: Strong communication and analytics skills, result-oriented approach. 

Education & Experience required:

  • 3+ years of experience in B2B, lead generation or marketing analytics.
  • 3+ years of recent SQL experience with a deep understanding of structure and unstructured databases
  • Strong experience of Python, R or other language to performance data analytical tasks
  • Proven understanding of commercial data and how to leverage that to drive marketing and sales campaigns
  • Working knowledge in relevant technologies – Salesforce, Teradata, Eloqua
  • Able to drive collaboration within a matrixed environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, results-oriented and an appreciation of diversity in teamwork.
