PayPal’s Global Credit Policy team is seeking a Credit Policy Governance Manager to manage the full life cycle of Credit Policy Change management. This position will work closely with the Credit Risk Policy Management team to understand their strategies, goals and key objectives. The position will manage product specific credit policies and procedures to ensure all documents are up to date and adhered to, the socialization of changes to existing policies with key stakeholders for approval, and practices adopted by the Bank are in full compliance with Regulatory guidance. The Policy Governance Manager will be responsible for both internal and external relationship management activities to include multi-bank partnerships.

​Responsibilities

  • Maintain relationships with the Global Credit Risk Policy teams to understand and support the documentation of underwriting, portfolio management and fraud risk policies. 
  • Coordinate the review / approval process for new initiatives, procedures, or changes to existing strategies between our bank partners, legal, compliance and sr. management to identify any potential risks that may impact project and/or business timelines.
  • Manage the relationships between bank partners and appropriate internal stakeholders, and ensure follow-ups are conducted in a timely manner.
  • Represent risk management in internal project meetings to provide status updates on internal and external governance processes as it relates to each initiative.
  • Ensure all bank reporting and deadlines are met in accordance with contracts, amendments and SLA’s.
  • Ensure all bank testing and oversight requirements are met, including but not limited to, on-site and remote activities.
  • Represent Credit Risk as the First Line of Defense (FLOD) for all product specific testing, audit and external exam related  engagements.
  • Provide weekly and monthly reporting to the Credit Risk team to include updates on initiatives throughout the approval process and any potential risks that may impact timelines.

Requirements

  • Consumer Credit Risk Management Experience
  • Relationship Management experience within a compliance and/or consumer banking environment
  • High energy, strong work ethic, action oriented and results driven.
  • Demonstrates the value of being a team player working across cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent written, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. Solid analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong project management skills; prioritization, decisioning and task management skills with attention to detail and a strong focus on deliverables with time limitations.
  • Must have the ability to troubleshoot complex issues, to provide potential solutions, to track issue status, and to report findings to external partners, peers, management and cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to interact with technical project leads, developers, quality assurance, and business team members.
  • Proficient in MS OFFICE.
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
