The Consumer GTM Strategy Manager will be responsible for developing strategies to address white space, market gaps and new growth opportunities for the consumer segment in key corridors that drive Cross Border Trade. This individual will help define the vision and strategy for the consumer value proposition in these markets and drive growth of active consumer base for PayPal in these markets.


  • Market sizing, opportunity assessment and business case development.
  • Determines product and competitive position of the Consumer Segment in CBT markets.
  • Partner with Market Insights team to understand trends in the payments and competitive landscape and translate them into strategic insights for the segment.
  • Work with Sales, Product, PMM, Partner, BD and Corp Development teams to develop build/partner/buy scenarios to realize strategic growth opportunities
  • Work closely with the Global Strategy team on topics that are relevant to the segment, and to ensure alignment between (sub-)segment strategies and the strategic direction of the company
  • Work with pricing team to ensure that the pricing framework is aligned with consumer value proposition.
  • Working with Portfolio Management to leverage customer data to identify/execute opportunities to improve customer experience, work with Product PMM and Growth team to optimize end to end customer experience.
  • Design and orchestrate global go-to-market plans for the consumer segment which can be relevant and implemented at the local level to be shared with Global Marketing, Market PMMs and other internal stakeholders.
  • Package the consumer value proposition to deliver consistent positioning, messaging, branding, target audience and strategy to key stakeholders and internal customers including Global Marketing and Sales Enablement.
  • Understand and communicate local implications within consumer GTM plans to share with Product and Market PMMs.

Experience & Skills:

  • 10+ years experience in payments industry with experience in strategy & GTM functions.
  • Able to manage through data and insights to build compelling and innovative strategies.
  • Intensely competitive with a deep understanding of the various market dynamics and competitive environments around the world.
  • Strong quantitative analytical skills and excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience in working in a global matrixed environment with multiple stakeholders.
